Poetry & Songs:
Raven's Dawn

By: Arjan Wardekker

See the sun rise up to die.
See the light within me cry.
See my life was in your hand.
And you threw it in the sand.

Thus my shield lies down there to.
It's kicked from me, wonder who.
Wonder, will one ever know.
Where the dead and living go.

So I stand here staring.
At my grave, but no one's caring.
Standing in the twilight's black.
Torn in two I wait and crack.

The sand slips through my fingers.
While still the shadow lingers.
Battle's not yet lost or won.
Star now rise before I'm gone.

I feel the wind it blow around.
Last sand has the earth refound.
Four wars lost within a row.
Darkness is the afterglow.

And up a new star rises.
While me myself despises.
New sun darker than the night.
Colder than a touching wight.

See, I fall, the ground I hit.
Reached the bottom of the pit.
See, I die and rise as him.
Black eyes as the light grows dim.
