Poetry & Songs:
Why does the rain fall?

By: Arjan Wardekker

Soaking in the rain, I sit.
Pain of which I can't get rid.
Misery, this endless song.
Why is everything so wrong?

This darkness that I walk through.
Gives no answers, not a clue.
Rather makes the night seem day.
Why is nothing left to say?

A vivid past, now dying.
All hope to me denying.
With my back against the wall.
Why than does this rain still fall?

Misery and loneliness.
They're my best friends in this mess.
Bad pals, but they're always there.
Why no help, so I can bear?
