As an explorer you have to know your way in the caves. You need to know how to survive there without falling, being eaten or captured by creatures dwelling underground.
Hit Die: d6
To become a cave explorer you must fulfill the following criteria:
Feat: Blind Fight.
Skills: Appraise 4 ranks, Climb 8 ranks, Search 8 ranks, Profession (miner) 4 ranks, Knowledge (geology) 4 ranks.
Skill Points: 6 + Int. modifier per level.
Class Skills: Appraise (Int), Balance (Dex), Climb (Str), Craft (Int), Decipher Script (Int), Disable Device (Int), Escape Artist (Dex), Gather Information (Cha), Hide (Dex), Intuit Direction (Wis), Jump (Str), Knowledge (any) (Int), Listen (Wis), Move Silently (Dex), Profession (any) (Wis), Spot (Wis), Search (Int), Swim (Str), Tumble (Dex), Wilderness Lore (Wis).

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Cave explorers are proficient with light armor and simple weapons.
Stone cunning: at first level The cave explorer gain a +2 Stone cunning bonus, if you already have stone cunning, the bonus rises by 2.
Slow fall (Ex):The cave explorer can slow your fall as a monk does for 20 ft. when within reach of a wall at first level.
Knowledge of the deep (Ex): The explorer knows his way underground, and almost "smell" metal or jewels. This results in a +2 wilderness lore bonus in any underground, and, you have a 50% chance of knowing if any valuable stones or metal is within 30 ft. The cave explorer gains this ability at second level.
Soften earth and stone 1/day (Sp): You cast soften earth and stone as a lvl 5 caster at second level.
Sneak attack: While crawling through the caves the cave explorer discovered that a fight there sometimes relies more on stealth and sneaking than on brute force. You get a +1d6 sneak attack on your damage rolls at third level.
Cave ears (Ex): The cave explorers ears have adapted to your surrounding. In any underground you detect sounds faster than a normal person would. This results in a +5 listen bonus in any underground. The cave explorer gains this ability at third level.
Improved Climb: The cave explorer climbs at normal speed instead of half speed.
Reduce self (Sp): At fourth level the cave explorer gains the ability to use reduce self as a spell like ability once/day/ level cave explorer. You can reduce yourself to 50% of your normal size.
Stone walk (Su):The cave explorer is extremely familiar with rock and stone, so much even that you can move through. At this last level you gain the ability to walk through stone at half speed in any direction. The duration is one minute/lvl explorer for each day. If this duration ends when you are still inside stone you will be transported to the nearest free space. In which case you get 1d6 damage per 10 ft. distance.
