Dwarfs are known for their cunning in relation to earth and earth based things. The dwarven miners and builders are known to be the best, as are the dwarven smiths. The dwarven smiths have their secrets which are passed on through the centuries, and the objects and weapons they make are widely known. The dwarven mastersmith is a dwarf who as fully mastered smithing and the making of magic weapons and armor. He takes pride in his work, and will dedicate his life to it. He is the best when it comes to smithing and metal related objects.

Skills: Knowledge Metallurgy 5 ranks (with feat from FR for clerics to make it a class skill), Craft weaponsmithing 8 ranks, Craft armorsmithing 8 ranks
Skill Points: 4 + Int. modifier per level.
Class Skills: Alchemy (Int), Appraise (metal related objects) (Int), Climb (Str), Concentration (Con), Craft (any) (Int), Knowledge (metallurgy) (Int), Knowledge religion (Int), Profession (any) (Wis), Spot (Wis), Swim (Str).

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: The Dwarven Mastersmith is proficient with all light, medium and heavy armor. He is also proficient with all simple and martial weapons.
Affinity with metal: At first level a Dwarven Mastersmith gains this ability, but it is related to its former class. All former classes, except the cleric, gain the ability to cast the spell Heat Metal 1/day. A cleric receives an extra domain instead: the Metal domain from the Forgotten Realms Handbook. If you do not have this book, the cleric may receive Heat Metal 1/day instead.
Expert craftsmanship: Starting at first level the base cost of metal objects crafted is 5%/lvl lower. (not for magical items).
Arcane/divine smithing: At third level the Dwarven Mastersmith gains a new spell; Warp metal 1/day (as in warp wood).
Know weakness: At fifth level you know weaknesses in armor in the wink of an eye giving you an advantage in combat dealing 1d6 extra damage to armored beings.
Metal cunning +2: The smith gains +2 on concerning metal related checks.
