Tundris Longbow of the Blizzard
By: Matt Rosengren
Type: Weapon (magic)
Game: Dungeons & Dragons (D&D)

This longbow is used and treasured by many magic-oriented and scholarly archers because it packs quite an "icy punch".

The bow functions as a +4 Frost Composite Longbow, dealing 1d8+4 damage plus 1d6 frost damage. In addition, when shooting the bow, the wielder can unleash a blizzard upon his target (move-equivalent action, in addition to the action required for the attack). The blizzard functions similar to a Gust of Wind spell (extending up to 190 ft. from the wielder, Fortitude DC 18 negates) with windstorm-strength winds that last for 1d8+4 (1d8 + enhancement bonus) rounds. Each round, creatures in the area are dealt 2d10 cold damage (no save) from the freezing temperatures and 1d6 impact damage (Reflex DC 18 for half) from hailstones. Creating a blizzard expends one charge; a newly created bow begins with 50 charges.

Caster Level: 9th; Prerequisites: Craft Magic Arms and Armor, Cone of Cold, Gust of Wind, Ice Storm; Market price: 99,900 gp; Cost to Create: 50150 gp + 3980 XP.
