Necros Acid
By: Matt Rosengren
Type: Potion
Game: Dungeons & Dragons (D&D)

Necros Acid is a type of acid that inflicts 2d8 acid damage and 1d12 negative energy damage on a direct hit.
It is even more damaging to creatures who are more intimately connected with nature. Elves and Half-Elves receive 10d10 damage (Fortitude save DC 14 for half). Half of this damage is acid, the other half is negative energy. On plants, it creates a death effect: mundane plantlife instantly dies, and Plant creatures (and some magical non-intelligent plants, at the game master's discretion) receive a Fortitude save DC 14 to avoid death. Upon a succesful save, they receive 5d10 damage, half acid and half negative energy.

A flask of Necros Acid is a thrown weapon, with a range increment of 10 ft. As a thrown weapon, it has a maximum range of 50 ft. under standard rules. [Editor's note: author suggested to make this Strength dependent; maximum range being Strength modifier times 10, with a minimum of 10 ft.]
