Dark Sleep is a powerful necromantic ritual that will transform a living humanoid or monstrous humanoid creature into a Necro Bound. A Necro Bound is an undead creature that has various necromantic abilities. After the ritual is complete, the subject may attempt a Will save to negate the transformation. If the Will save succeeds, the subject receives 1d20+15 points of damage, Fortitude save for half. If the Will save fails, the subject dies and immediately rises as the new undead being. The caster has no special control over the creature, although he could attempt to control it through e.g. Rebuke Undead. The caster cannot use the ritual to transform himself.
