Lower Pantheon, Wing of Positive Energy
This goddess is devoted to the cause of peace. She prefers for all conflicts to be settled non-violently. Her priests try to intervene between nations in war and try to prevent war when it nearly erupts. Because of this, they are generally well received among people of all walks of life. The priests try to prevente (unnecessary) violence when possible. They are aware that some fights cannot be avoided and will take action in situations that will obviously end in violence. Alea an her priesthood can get along very well with most other religions. They do have quite a dispute with Zirnath (War) and Calid (Justice/Revenge) and their priesthoods. Other evil aligned deities are not liked much either.
This goddess is devoted to love in all kinds of ways: romantic love, desire, affection, lust, infatuation, the love between husband and wife, the love shared between close friends, and so on. She does have a slight preference for the love between husband and wife, though. Her priests try to promote and support love in any way they can. They will attempt to remove obstacles to it, even with the aid of magic (charms) when needed. They often act as marriage councilors for couples that have marital problems and they'll help them work it out. Cytherea is closely related to Gianna (Birth/Children/Life). In fact, the two are sisters. Their priesthoods are known to cooperate on regular basis and often perform cooperative services. Xeresh (Evil/Misschief/Trickery), Pardos (Disease/(Un)death) and Pandra (Doubt) are not liked at all. The priesthood of Cytherea often clashes with that of Pandra.
Dalith, God of Labour, stands for a life of simplicity, solitude and hard work. As the patron deity of hardworking common people, he is also keen on protecting them from suppression and he does not fear doing this by means of revolution and armed conflict. Some of the orders of priests move away from society to work in a less distracting environment. All they want to do is live a decent life in quietness. This religion has most of it's followers among the common people. Especially miners, smiths, metalworkers and other people with hard, work-intensive jobs are devoted followers of Dalith. Dalith is closely related to Khardin (Mining), who is his father. Their priesthoods often cooperate. He and his priesthood also live on good terms with Ethelidon (Strength), Delembor (Culture/Ancestors/History) and Damethreas (Wisdom/Knowledge). They dislike Glarr Gemstone (Prosperity), Xeresh (Evil/Misschief/Trickery), Jerathlan (Competition/Trade), Pandra (Doubt) and Bhúrin (Burocracy).
Delembor is the god of all things that have to do with culture and it's history. History and ancestors are important subjects to Dalith, because culture today is a product of that of the past and the ancestors that lived back then. The priesthood has many temples that usually serve as local community centers, musea and schools. They have most of their followers among the middle and upper classes of society.
Delembor and his priesthood live on good terms with Father Time (Time), Eloria (Arts/Crafts/Literature/Poetry), Eadriël (Music/Dance) and Damethreas (Wisdom/Knowledge) because of their common interest in culture and history.
Eadriël is the Goddess of the performing arts; vocal and instrumental music, traditional and interpretive dance, even stage tragedy and comedy. Her love of harmony also makes her the patron deity of the woodland and of fey creatures. Many bards follow this deity and many people from other walks of life follow her as well, especially among the Elves. The temples of this goddess are usually placed in the centre of towns and they organise feasts, festivities and shows. The local taverns and inns appreciate such temples, especially because the priesthood also lends out it's priests for performances in these localities. The priesthood spends much time in teaching people the art of music and dance. Eadriël gets along very well with Nature, Eloria (Arts/Crafts/Literature/Poetry), Delembor (Culture/Ancestors/History), Coronar (Sun) and Cordumil (Elves). She dislikes Pardos (Disease).
Eloria, Goddess of the written and physical arts; Arts, Crafts, Literature and Poetry. She and her priesthood spend much time in encouraging the people to perform arts and crafts of all kinds. Beauty, truth, emotion, craftmanship, love, etc. are her trademarks. She is loved and worshipped by many an artist and craftsman, and by many common folk as well. This religion's temples often serve as ateliers and workshops for artists and craftsmen and provide schooling for those willing to learn. Magic, especially illusion, charm and creation, is a well known and loved subject among the worshippers. Eloria can get along with most gods. She is closely related to Eadriël (Music/Dance) and their priesthoods often cooperate with eachother for common causes.
Gianna is devoted to life. She is the protector of the positive forces of life. She is specially fond of new life: children. The goddess therefore actively protects the young and even unborn children. Her temples are often used as hospital or refuge for pregnant women and children. Her priests practice powerful combat magics, in order to protect the children. Gianna is closely related to Cytherea (Love/Marriage). In fact, the two are sisters. Their priesthoods are known to cooperate on regular basis and often perform cooperative services. She's on good terms with Paladia (Good/Healing/Guardianship) and Delembor (Culture/Ancestors/History). Xeresh (Evil/Misschief/Trickery) and Pardos (Disease/(Un)death) are not liked at all. Death is not really liked either, but accepted as a fact of life.
This rather chaotic deity is a god of wealth and riches. He loves anything that is shiny and worth lots of money. It doesn't really matter to him how this wealth is acquired, but he loves to have it. So do his priests. Glarr and his priests do not openly practice thievery however. They do spend a lot of time in trade and teaching the children of wealthy families how to keep the wealth and to make even more of it. This deity is worshipped by all kinds of people. Most of the worshippers are gnomes, halflings, wealthy people, rogues and adventureres. Glarr has good ties with Qarl (Gnomes), Yndilla (Halflings), Jerathlan (Competition/Trade) and The Lady (Fortune/Luck).
Paladia is the goddess of good, healing, guardianship and everything that is good. She is the patron of righteousness. The goddess defends the weak, heals the wounded and sick, helps the poor, etc. In practice, her priests are a sort of paladins. Many followers are paladins, rangers and other good aligned people. The priesthood's goal is to fight against evil, war, disease, undead and other negative energy related things. Paladia's temples are hospitals and keeps to defend the community from evil. Many priests go on adventures to reach these goals. Paladia can get along very well with all good aligned deities. She is especially fond of Gianna (Birth/Children/Life), Cytherea (Love/Marriage) and Alea (Peace). She and her priesthood dislike Rogash (Darkness), Pardos (Disease/(Un)death), Xeresh (Evil/Misschief/Trickery) and Pandra (Doubt) and Zirnath. Death is not really liked either, but accepted as a fact of life. The priesthood actively fights the priesthoods of Rogash, Pardos and Xeresh.
Damethreas is a god of common sense, study, education and learning. The priests of this god promote sensible solutions and actions on the part of the flock. They suggest compromises and alternatives. His temples are houses of learning and serve as schools, colleges and universities for all people. Temples are required to house a school and a large library. The priests often act as advisors for military commanders and rulers. Damethreas can get along very well with Delembor (Culture/Ancestors/History), Elárith (Oracles/Prophecy), Leona (Magic) and Rhaegwyn (Rulership/Kingship). He and his priesthood dislike and fight Pandra (Doubt) and her priesthood. Damethreas is also on bad terms with Mythrar (Secrets), because Mythrar strives to keep things hidden, while Damethreas seeks to uncover and study.
