Greetings traveler,

Welcome to the fifty third edition of the alcarin.com newsletter.
There is an archive of the previous newsletters in the Townhall and the columns are added to the Town Square, so you can always read it again.
After quite a while of hardly any updates, this month the site has kicked off with quite a bunch of them. The latest additions include a number of custom items and spells for Dungeons & Dragons, new poetry, new plugins for the computer RPG Morrowind, and a new section dedicated to Alcarin's Members of the Month. A new MotM has been elected; it will be Ben van Laar, who inspired me to create a lot of the Gnomish custom material on Alcarin. Keeley has yet to interview him for the mailinglist, so he won't be officially granted the title until then. Unfortunately, Wouter still hadn't finished his column at the time of writing and I decided to send the mailinglist anyway (since it was a very, very late edition already).
Nevertheless, enjoy reading.

WHAT'S NEW:

30/04/2005 - added 2 new items to the School: "Crossbow, miniature repeating" and "Crossbow, small repeating"

23/04/2005 - added new spell to the School: "Swiftness", updated licensing spells (School), uploaded cleaned versions of Morrowind mods "Rethan Manor Add-on 1: Livingroom & Personell Bedroom" and "Rethan Manor Add-on 3: Rethan Defended"

08/04/2005 - slightly modified Morrowind Mods download page, added 2 plugins (mods) for Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind to the Barracks: "Pillow Quest Fix" and "Vampire Fly Fix"

07/04/2005 - added "Hall of Knights" for Members of the Month to Townhall, placed MotM links on Town Screen and Forums

06/04/2005 - new poem in the Temple: "Victory's Defeat"

02/04/2005 - updated Forums to latest version

COMING UP:

Although I'm still suffering from a serious lack of time, there seems to be a lot of development on the site recently. I expect that to continue during the coming months.
The main point of focus is the creation of new custom material for the RPG Archives. At the time of writing, several new spells and a new custom rule for Dungeon & Dragons Third Edition have been uploaded already. The custom rule presents a system to create the normal magical potions through the alchemy skill. This should add a bit more spice to the otherwise not very attractive skill. Other expected custom material includes new spells, monsters and playable races/templates. I expect to upload some of this material in the next few months.
The other project thats running at the moment is the "plugins" section for the computer rpg "Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind". I'm working on and thinking up new material, but I have no idea when and if these will be finished and added to Alcarin.
