alcarin.com newsletter, 16 July 2005
Greetings traveler,
Welcome to the fifty fifth edition of the alcarin.com newsletter.
There is an archive of the previous newsletters in the Townhall and the columns are added to the Town Square, so you can always read it again.
Unfortunately Wouter, our columnist, wasn't able to finish the column in time this month. With me having to finish an internship, I haven't had much time to work on the site either. The most important update this month is a nice new prestige class for use with Dungeons & Dragons 3rd edtion. The class, the Cave Explorer is aimed at characters delving the black depths of the earth, in D&D commonly referred to as "The Underdark". One of my players made the thing for use in a campaign I'm running at the moment; City of the Spider Queen (indeed, Drow... drow, vampires, and even better... drow vampires :-) very nice campaign, although there is quite a bit of focus on combat). Anyway, this month's mailinglist will be a bit short.
Still... Enjoy reading.

COMING UP:
With the summer holidays having started around here, I'm probably going to get a decent amount of time to work on the site. The main focus will be on new D&D custom material and mods (plugins) for Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind.
For the Morrowind section, I've just finished a patch for one of my Rethan Manor mods that will make it compatible with Baratheon79's Rethan Expansion, another big Rethan Manor mod around. I have been working on a Dwemer Espresso Machine and a companion mod, but currently most of my attention is directed towards a companion type mod I named "A Lord's Men" in which the player can hire various types of people. Besides that, I've got another idea or two up my sleeve. More on that later :-)
For the D&D material, I've nearly finished a new monster. I named it a "Misen", but I'm not going to tell you any more on it yet, as I want to use it in my current D&D campaign (and several players are subscribed to this mailing list). I'm also working on a fairly large number of new spells and a few playable races/templates for player characters as well.
Other things on my mind include some cosmetic work on the RPG Archives in the School (custom rpg material), writing some more reviews for in the Town Square, putting a bit more work into the artwork section of the Temple, and expanding the site's links section (The Gate).

Well, that's it for this month's newsletter. I hope you enjoyed it.
